What do the numbers on the sleeve of north face jackets mean?

my jacket says ';550'; on the sleeve...my friends jacket says ';700'; there are also several others such as 300 and 600. what do these numbers mean?What do the numbers on the sleeve of north face jackets mean?
It's different types, and has something to do with how warm it is. 100 is the least warm, 700 warmer...What do the numbers on the sleeve of north face jackets mean?
