how do i change the numbers of a whole column by a percentage? I have a price sheet with unit prices and i want to highlight the column and change it a percentage up or down.How to change the numbers of a whole column by percentage in microsoft excel?
Say if you want to increase the values in A1:A100 by 5%
1. in a cell put 1.05 (1+5%) ctrl+c to copy it,
2. select A1:A100 edit menu, paste special, click value option, click multiply option, click ok button
If the change is a mark down of 5% instead of a mark up, in step 1. put 0.95 in the cell instead
